Blue/lilac felted wool scarf

NZ$ 95.00

Nuno felted with NZ merino wool on silk chiffon, handcrafted by

Anna Harris

Size: 160 cm x 16 cm

Nuno felting is a technique developed by Polly Stirling, an Australian fibre artist, around 1992. The name is derived from the Japanese word "nuno" meaning cloth. Loose fibres are bonded into a sheer fabric such as silk, creating a lightweight felt. The nuno felting process is particularly suitable for creating fabrics used to make clothing. The use of silk in the felt creates fabric that will not stretch out of shape.
