Kereru
One of our favourite birds is the kereru, our native pigeon. We always have at least one pair living close by. When the sun is shining at this time of the year they are getting frisky, chasing each other from one tree to another around the house, but right now (this photo was taken 5 minutes ago from our front door) they are looking at each other from separate branches a few metres apart, puffed up to keep warm in the drizzle.
